Our Story

Welcome to Little Red Homestead.

This little homestead is more than just where we live; it’s where my story began.

As a child, I grew up in this home. Life eventually took me down different roads, and I never imagined that one day I’d have the opportunity to return. But years later, in a beautiful full-circle moment, my husband and I had the chance to make this place our home and begin writing a new chapter together.

Now, we’re raising our children in the same house where I grew up. The rooms hold new memories, the yard is filled with new adventures, and the dreams that once belonged to a little girl have grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined. What was once the place where I learned the value of hard work, family, and gathering around the table has now become the place where we’re raising our family, building our homestead, and creating traditions of our own.

Little Red Homestead was born from our shared love of home, family, and simple living. What started with baking bread for our family, caring for animals, tending the garden, and creating a life we love has grown into something we are honored to share with others.

Through 1923 Bakery, we have the joy of bringing handcrafted sourdough bread, homemade treats, and seasonal favorites to our community. Every loaf, muffin, cookie, and baked good is made with the same care we’d put into something served at our own family table.

For us, Little Red Homestead is a reminder that home isn’t just a place. It’s the memories we carry, the traditions we pass down, and the opportunity to build something meaningful for the next generation.

We’re so grateful that life brought us back here and even more grateful to share a small piece of our story with you.

From our homestead to yours, Abbagail & Family
